The UK still wants global digital tax even as the U.S has withdrawn support - Technology

A spokesman for the Treasury confirmed that Britain will continue on working for a global solution on international digital companies such as Google and Facebook who avoid local taxes by basing their businesses elsewhere.

This confirmation comes after the United States left negotiations with Robert Lighthizer the U.S. Treasury Representative saying that the United States has decided to pull out of the talks after they failed to make any progress.

The British Treasury spokesman has said that Britain does "remain committed to a global solution."
